Don’t let the Las Vegas economy bring you down this spring add some uplifting colors in your home using the vibrant purples, fiery reds, rich chocolate browns, and oranges that are in this season.

A trip to the Las Vegas World Market last week proved this to be true with almost every store flooded with these exciting colors. This vibrant array of colors can be found in everything imaginable from pillows, vases, bedding, and towels.

A quick tip, if you love changing your homes décor from season to season an inexpensive way to keep up with the latest trends is to keep your larger areas such as the sofa and wall color a very neutral color. Add the bold colors using accessories, artwork, and rugs.

When you are ready for a new trend simply switch out the old accessories for the new ones.

Another great trend this season is bold geometric shapes and patterns. Stick with circles and Greek-key shapes. Stores everywhere are selling these hot items in bedding, lamps, pillows, and window treatments. The Greek-key designs will create a pleasing contrast to the circles. Use each of them in moderation so you do not overpower your room and try to incorporate both patterns into your design to create some balance and flow.

Bring a little of the outside into your home with lots of organic textures. Bamboo has become extremely popular and is made into everything from kitchen utensils to vessel sinks. Cork flooring and sisal rugs are also becoming more and more popular with eco-design becoming the choice for most.

These options will help to lighten up a room’s décor and they also add a rustic feel to the space.
